Research & Development

We aim to build a new knowledge economy that bridges the gaps between health data, healing practices and public health impact.

Our Process
Research & Development is at the heart of our mission to transform rural, underserved communities.

Our R&D approach is grounded in scientific excellence, cultural knowledge systems, and a deep respect for the lived realities of our people. We aim to build a new knowledge economy that bridges the gaps between health data, healing practices, and public health impact.

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)

We study the burden, incidence, and impact of diseases like:
Cancer
Hypertension
Diabetes Mellitus
Mental Illness
Heart Diseases

Community-Based Cohort Studies

Long-term studies that track individuals and families over time to understand how health outcomes evolve and what protective or risk factors exist in local contexts.

Survival Rate Analysis

We collect and analyse survival data across NCDs to help improve diagnosis timelines, treatment access, and follow-up care — particularly in low-resource settings.

Cultural and Behavioral Determinants of Health

Our research integrates African knowledge systems, local belief structures, and indigenous practices to better understand how people experience illness and healing.

Implementation Research & Innovation

What works? Where? And why?

01.
Intervention Pilots

Testing real-world programmes, from healthy food coaching to mobile screening campaigns, to see how they perform in specific communities.

02.
Service Design Research

Exploring how health services are accessed, delivered, and experienced by rural populations. We identify bottlenecks and co-create solutions with stakeholders.

03.
Technology Integration

Investigating how digital tools, AI, and mobile health applications can support rural health delivery without replacing human care and connection.
